Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday June 10th at 12 noon.  \nA highly entertaining musical potpourri that blends traditional MacNeil family favourites gleaned from Christmas ceilidhs\, midnight masses\, and the general festive frolic that accompanies each holiday season. With their captivating vocals\, distinctive harmonies and extraordinary musicianship\, The Barra MacNeils inject new life and energy into the sights and sounds of Christmas. Fans can look forward to classic favourites including “O Holy Night”\, “Ave Maria”\, “Christmas in Killarney” and “Auld Lang Syne”\, where a rousing chorus may be followed by a hauntingly beautiful Gaelic ballad\, then a flurry of foot-stomping instrumentals accompanied by step-dancing revelry.  \nBased in Cape Breton\, The Barra MacNeils have been thrilling audiences of all ages with their sparkling repertoire\, vocals\, instrumental prowess and vibrant showmanship for nearly three decades. This family group features Kyle (vocals\, guitar\, violin\, mandolin)\, Lucy (vocals\, bodhran\, Celtic harp\, fiddle\, stepdancing)\, Sheumas (keyboards\, piano\, bodhran\, fiddle\, bouzouki\, vocals)\, Stewart (vocals\, accordion\, tin whistle\, flute\, bouzouki\, guitar\, stepdancing)\, Boyd (mandolin\, fiddle\, guitar\, banjo\, percussion\, stepdancing) and Jamie Gatti (bass).
