SUMMARY:The Princess Bride Now Indoors at The Bailey at 7:30 pm
DESCRIPTION:Due to the weather The Princess Bride is Now Indoors at The Bailey Theatre. Doors at 7 pm and movie at 7:30 pm.\n\nTo make this fun event accessible to everyone films are by suggested donation of $5 per person. Tickets only available at the door. Cash or card payment available.\n\nRemember\, doors open at 7:00 pm. Get there early to buy your popcorn and get a good spot.\n\n\n \n\nOur first movie\, “The Princess Bride”\, is a classic fairy tale comedy\, with swordplay\, giants\, an evil prince\, a beautiful princess\, and yes\, some kissing.\nA grandfather reads the book “The Princess Bride” to his grandson who is at home sick. The grandson is sure he won’t like the story\, as it’s romance and he prefers something with lots of action and “no kissing”.\nButtercup is a farm girl who must marry Prince Humperdinck of Florian\, even though she doesn’t love him. She still mourns the death of her one true love\, Westley\, who went away to sea\, only to be killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts. But before she can be married Buttercup is kidnapped by a band of bandits: clever Vizzini\, a giant named Fezzik\, and expert swordsman Inigo Montoya. Hot on their heels is the infamous Dread Pirate Roberts\, followed by the Prince and his men.\n\nWhat will happen to Buttercup? Will the Prince get her back by force or ransom? Why is the Dread Pirate Roberts chasing them? And what will the grandson think of the story in the end?\n“The Princess Bride” is a movie beloved by “grown-ups” that you’ll now get to share in a big screen experience with your kids.\n“Children can see it as a bright\, frothy adventure while adults will appreciate the subtlety and the sheer wit.” – William Gallagher\, BBC\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner Cast: Cary Elwes\, Robin Wright\, Mandy Patinkin / Genre: Adventure\, Family\, Fantasy\, Romance/ Length: 1h 38 mins / Rating: PG / Country: USA / Language: English\n\n97% Rotten Tomatoes\n\nThe other screening in this series is “The Lego Movie” on July 16. Irreverent fun\, with well-known actors channeling their inner Lego personas from superheroes to average Joe’s\, or Emmetts.\n\nThe Silver Screen Outdoor Movie is sponsored by Bounce Radio\, Columbia Basin Trust\, Kootenay Savings Credit Union\, Teck Metals Ltd. and Tourism Rossland\, and made possible thanks to support from the Government of British Columbia and BC Arts Council.
